Discover our Story
When I was just a wee lad, I had an uncle who lived in Saratoga Springs, NY. Every summer my folks would load my sister and me into the family truckster and head out route seven (Route 88 would come along later) to visit Uncle Louie.
Inevitably my father and uncle would spend at least one afternoon at the fabled Saratoga Race Course, with me being brought along for…luck, support, sympathy? So began my lifelong fascination with thoroughbred horse racing. While most infants’ first spoken word is mama, or dada, mine was Exacta.
The love of coffee would arrive later in life. In college, coffee was just a necessary evil (to be awake for the dreaded morning class that you had to take). Back then it didn’t matter (to me anyway) what kind of coffee it was, as long as it got me alert in the morning and kept me awake at night… in order to study.
As time went on I came to realize that there were better, much better coffees out there. Savory and aromatic, coffee became a celebration of the marriage between caffeine and flavor.
Coffee is the cornerstone of almost everyone’s morning, so regardless of whether you’re an outrider or a desk jockey, you’re going to love our coffee. Welcome to Saratoga Cool Beans.
